Latest Fundraising News: Join us to Zumba our way to £3000!

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Chris and Annabelle Lowe once again for donating three wildlife watching safari boat trips to the project this year! Early on Saturday 31^st March, on a blustery Cornish morning we set out to watch wildlife aboard the Atlantic Diver with the fantastic skipper Chris Lowe all in aid of TAG A TURTLE! We would also very much like to thank everyone who joined us on the day in supporting the project, we raised a whopping £400!! It was a great day enjoyed thoroughly by all and despite the Cornish gales everyone was in high spirits and Chris kept us informed and entertained whilst we viewed loads of Sea birds and even the local harbour seal made an appearance at the end.

Blue Reef Aquarium have also been hard at work helping us to raise funds for the project. We were very sad to hear that Matt Slater was leaving but we would like to wish him all the very best in his new job with the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and although he won’t be at Blue Reef he is still very much involved with the Tag A Turtle Project and will be helping us Tag and release the turtle this project is going to fund should any injured turtles be washed up on the Cornish coast this year. Blue reef helped raise an extra £189.06 raising our current total to…… £2062.17 !!!!!! Huge thank you to everyone at Blue Reef for their support and  to Tom Mercer for donating his spare time to keep our website updated and in tip top shape!!

With only a £937.83 left to raise to reach our Goal of £3000 and buy the all important Satellite tracking tag which will monitor the next rehabilitated turtle from Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay, we are as inspired as ever to raise the last amount of money needed.

Which brings us onto our next fundraiser, a ZUMBA Party!! We will be holding a zumba party on Saturday 26^th May from 4-6pm in the Cornwall College Atlantic Centre in Newquay. Parking will be available at the college. Tickets are just £10 each, with all proceeds being donated to Tag a Turtle.

ATLANTIC DIVER FUNDRAISING BOAT TRIPS 31ST MARCH

Hi everyone

Chris and Annabelle Lowe have very kindly donated a couple of boatrips to the TAG A TURTLE project once again.
Our current total is £1,445.91 almost half way to our goal of £3000 so we are really grateful for their support in helping to
push the project forward and reach our target.

The two trips will be leaving from Newquay Harbour with Skipper Chris Lowe on Saturday 31st March,  the first a wildlife watching trip
from 9am-11pm  and a fishing trip in the afternoon from 11pm-3pm.
 

The costs for the trips are £20 per adult for the morning and £15 per child and £25 per person (adult or child) for the longer afternoon fishing trip (plus
the added bonus of catching your dinner for that night if the fishing goes well :)

There are 12 places up for grabs on each trip so please don't hesitate and book soon as places will sell fast the trips are always very popular with lots of local wildlife to spot and plenty of fresh fish to catch.

If the trips have to be cancelled on the day due to adverse weather conditions a full refund will be given.

As before Chris and Annabelle are very kindly donating all the money to Tag a Turtle so lets hope we can fill both trips and have a great day out :)
